The laboratories of the Department of Pathology provide anatomical and clinical pathology testing and consultation for patient care and research. The laboratories are licensed by the New York State Department of Health and the Health Care Financing Administration and are accredited by the College of American Pathologists and the American Association of Blood Banking.
The Anatomical Pathology Division has laboratory sections in Surgical Pathology, Neuropathology, Oral Pathology, Cytopathology and Adult and Pediatric Autopsy, all supported by histology, immunohistochemistry and electron microscopy laboratories in this division.

The Clinical Pathology Division has laboratories in the following disciplines:

The OPD Laboratory provides chemistry and hematology services.

Phlebotomy services are provided for inpatient and outpatient support.

Clinical consultation is provided 24 hours a day. Senior Anatomic and Clinical Pathology residents and attendings are on call at all times.
