Division of Neuroradiology
Neuroradiology performs a full range of diagnostic procedures including Computed Tomography (CT), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), plain films. The department isequipped with multiple CT and MRI scanners including a Siemens 1.5 T Symphony and a recently installed Marconi Eclipse 1.5 T MR scanner. Interventional procedures available include myelography, diagnostic angiography and interventional angiography procedures.
The department has three full time neuroradiologists with certificate of added qualification in neuroradiology.
The neuroradiology section is a highly active clinical section working closely with Neurology, Neurosurgery, ENT,Radiation oncology and Neuropathology.The section is also actively engaged in teaching of residents and medical students.Inter-disciplenary conferences are held with Neurology and Neurosurgery on a biweekly basis.The faculty has varied interests including Functional MRI, Spectroscopy, Head and Neck imaging and Neurovascular interventional procedures.
