At the Department of Radiation Oncology at SUNY Downstate Medical Center's, we use the most advanced, safe and proven techniques availble in the treatment of cancer. Our goals do not stop here. Our social workers, technologists, physicists and board-certified attending physicians include our patients' families in a team to provide comprehensive, compassionate and culturally-competent care possible.
Our department is one of the original full members of the gound-breaking Radiation Therapy Oncology Group. Our chairman, Dr. Marvin Rotman, is a past-president of the American Radiation Society and New York Cancer Society.Our physicians are world-recognized experts in their fields, with numerous articles and texts to their credit.
