Committee 2 will consider our divers and evolving Institutional needs and priorities relative to strategic planning, program development, resource allocation, outcome assessment, and Institutional renewal, and consider the following focus questions:

What processes are employed for development of priorities, planning and subsequent resource allocation within the Colleges of Medicine, Nursing, Health Related Professions and the Graduate School?

How have the new programs (such as Master of Public Health in the College of Medicine, the PhD in Molecular and Cellular Biology, and the proposed PhD in Biomedical Engineering in the School of Graduate Studies, the Accelerated Bachelor of Science Program in Nursing and the Master of Science Program in Medical Informatics in the College of Health Related Professions) served to renew our Institution?

c) How are the various sources re-allocated to supplement changing levels of support?

What is the budget process and how is it aligned with the Downstate Medical Center's goals and strategic plan to provide for an annual budget and multi-year budget projections foira t least three years, both Institution-wide and among departments:
a) How does it utilize planning and asessment documents?
b) How does it address resource acquisition and allocation for the Institution and any subsidiary, affiliated, or contracted educational organizations?
