SUNY Downstate Biomedical Research Fund
The Biomedical Research Fund is administered by Dr. Ian Taylor, MD, Senior Vice President for Biomedical Education and Research and Dean of College of Medicine, and the Dean's Research Council.

The Fund provides support to clinical and basic science faculty. Money from the fund can be earmarked for:

  • Acquisition of new instrumentation and technologies
  • Seed and bridge research grants to new faculty who are on the path to breakthrough discoveries
  • Support for graduate students and post doctorate fellows
  • Technical personnel salaries
  • Travel to scientific meetings
